Our Story

Our story starts over 25 years ago in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Troy was frustrated with his career path and wanted to try something different. I was working as a designer at a flooring company at the time and made a suggestion about learning the tile trade. We agreed and worked together to gather all the tools necessary, acquired a quick DBA, insurance and were off and running. Life brought us kids and a move to Illinois and the tile trade went with us. Troy was able to install for some of the best builders and designers in Chicagoland for almost 15 years. He’s been told that he’s been featured in 2 magazines but we have yet to find them. His work was phenomenal and he was highly sought out. But again life took us on another move and we headed back to Michigan. By this time, Jacob (our son) had already worked with Troy for years and decided the tile trade was his career of choice as well and wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Troy taught him everything he knew about the tile trade and Jacob has been part of our team for almost 5 years now. We have three other children who are all adults now as well, all of them thoroughly versed in the trade who help as needed and will help us grow in the future. We love being a family-run business with old-school values. We are passionate about what we do and we are so excited to pass that on to you!
